Coral reefs are one of the main and most important part of underwater ecosystem. It provides both food and protection for marine life and at the same time play an important part for diving experience to make sure people enjoy seeing the vibrant colours in the oceans everytime they dive in. So here are the most beautiful coral reefs in the world. However, some of it has been destroyed by man or by some other reason but still remains on top for its beauty.
There are a total of 1200 islands and 26 atolls in the Maldives. The waters feature a beautiful landscape of corals and vibrant array of marine life. But with the occurrence of El Nino and warming up of water in the 1980s, the coral is still suffering from heavy bleaching, dying off however it has shown some recovery over some past few years.
