It is being considered as one of the most viral creations of TikTok
There is a new viral sensation in the TikTok world – Jade Taylor-Ryan, who is a 17-year-old high school student in Ontario and is extremely fond of her cat named Ed as well as shooting videos and posting them on TikTok.
Now, for a person who has been using the app since only last month, Jade has become a sensation after she uploaded a video starring 4-year-old Ed. Well, this ‘creation’ is now being hailed as one of TikTok’s most insanely viral creations.
There is a song buzzing in the background – which is the 1954 song “Mr. Sandman” by the barbershop-pop group the Chordettes. It is a 12-second video which shows Ed fiddling away and clapping his paws and focused at the camera. He is also seen twirling along with the music in and out of the frame.
Speaking with Buzzfeed, Jade confessed that she got this idea very randomly when she saw another user combine the app’s nine-camera split filter with the same song.
“I put my phone on the floor and set a timer on it so I didn’t have to use my hands to film,” she said in an email as per Buzzfeed. “I then timed when my cat would pop up in the frame based on the beat of the music.”
And as is the norm in the recent times, there were few concerns over the cat being twirled around in the video, but Jade clarified that the cat was very chill.
“Ed is very chill!” she said. “We pick him up and move him around all the time and he doesn’t really care, so I figured I would be able to do the same thing for the video. Turns out, I was right!”
Ever since the upload, Taylor-Ryan’s cat-themed take has already logged more than 6.8 million views as well as 1.2 million likes in just over 24 hours.
