Unlike many other critical internal organs, our lungs get exposed to the external environment with every breath that we absorb. This makes them very sensitive and vulnerable to pollutants that would cause a spread of respiratory infections. Also, our breathing capacity starts to say no from round the age of 35 onwards for multiple reasons. A wholesome antioxidant-rich diet, regular exercise, and good posture allowing deep breaths all contribute to healthy lungs. Breathing exercises are other very effective means. 

Thanks to them that they are the other option to improve our breathing capacity, maintain lung function, and reduce the danger of respiratory infections. Here are three breathing exercises that are simple, highly effective, and may be done by anyone. It’s a simple technique during which you breathe through the nose and exhale from the mouth. It helps improve overall lung capacity and slows down our breathing. If we take fewer breaths per minute, then our body gets longer to soak up oxygen. Sit at a comfortable position together with your spine upright and take a deep breath in through the nose, keeping your mouth closed. Exhale slowly through the mouth keeping your lips pursed like you’re blowing out a candle. 

Another exercise that you can try is lying down on a flat surface together with your knees bent.  Keep one hand over your belly and another on the chest for the required position.  Breathe deeply into the lungs in order that the hand on the belly raises the chest. Exhale slowly allowing the belly to settle back. This is yet one more very effective technique as by lying during a prone position (lying flat with the chest down and therefore the backup), the pressure within the lungs changes and allows us to breathe more uniformly. Since this corona pandemic outbreak it has become much more important for people to take care of them to the most and lungs play an essential role for our body. So it’s necessary to perform few exercises so it can stay healthy and protect us from such contagious disease and avoid any other serious disease.
