Rice is a common ingredient found easily in every Indian kitchen. People love making delicious dishes with rice in the kitchen like a good nasi or a yummy curry. But there are many hacks you might not know about rice which will make your work easy and effective. One of such hack is putting a cup of rice in your wardrobe. It might seem weird thinking about that, but yes it will solve many of your problems.

You can also use it to rescue phones, celebrate weddings, make heating pads, and keep salt loose. But another, not so common hack of using rice is to keep it in our wardrobe to freshen the air inside and act as a deodorant. Most people know about the hack of keeping smart phone inside a rice bag to save it from water damages and this is simply because dry rice absorbs moisture. There are times when even wardrobes have trouble with the moisture inside it and this mostly occurs when we put wet clothes at times inside it. So rice can help you keep the moisture away from your clothes. 

As said, rice is good at absorbing moisture; it simultaneously works as a room freshener as well. There is no need for you to buy expensive room fresheners ones you get to know about this hack. Just by adding a few drops of essential oil to rice, you wardrobe will smell just the way room fresheners do. You can create your own scents using this hack. 

For making a deodorant out of rice, just take half cup of rice, few essential oil and a jar of your choice. Pour the rice in your container and put essential oil over it and mix it well and that’s it. Your deodorant is ready to use and can last for about more than two months. You can add oils according to your choices such as lavender, lemon, or any flavor that you love.
