‘Excess of anything is bad’ is a true saying. Though we consume healthy food to keep ourselves well, we should not overeat healthy food thinking it’s good for our health rather it can turn out to give a negative impact on the overall well-being. Obviously you should go for a healthier diet whenever possible but make sure you eat a small portion of it. While many people believe that healthy food can help them lose weight, they tend to overeat which directly affects their weight losing journey and getting the opposite result at the end.
Overeating healthy food is easy to do but the same rules apply to healthy food as junk food. The formula-‘if your total caloric intake is lower than the energy you burn off in a day, you will lose weight and similarly, if the total caloric intake is higher, you are likely to gain weight’ holds true to everything you eat whether it be junk food or your healthy fruits and vegetables.
Even though you see the label of the product before consuming to see whether it is fat-free or low fat, watch the quantity you consume and stop yourself if you think you are going to eat it in an excessive amount. Foods that carry these labels may be high in sugar and calories. So whenever you want to have a well-balanced meal or an ice-cream, eat whatever you want but just go easy with the amount you consume.
